MUSICBEST AT POPKOMM

Musicbest Records will be present at this year's Popkomm event, held in
Berlin, Germany. Popkomm is a world-renowned music trade festival, and we
will be there to promote the label, and chiefly to spread the word about
our main act Heyday (a limited edition 4-track CD will be handed out at the
festival) amongst the European market. Popkomm attracts participants and
exhibitors from all over the world, and will be held from Wednesday 19th -
Friday 21st September '07. Check out the official website for more details:

biography of Heyday:

When Heyday released their debut single – the perfect summer power pop
nugget “Stay True” – in June 2007, in front of a large and enthusiastic
hometown crowd in Belfast’s prestigious Empire Music Hall, it summed up
their continuing rapid ascent as performers – and as crowd-pullers of great
potential! Their appearance as finalists in the Music Revolution ’07 also
proved that their songs will make a big impact whenever given a chance.

Formed as recently as the summer of 2005, with bags of youthful enthusiasm
and a steely-eyed ambition, this Belfast 5-piece are set to make a huge
impact on the UK and Ireland music scene throughout late 2007 and beyond,
having just inked a development deal with Belfast label Musicbest Records.

Sharing a love of music that takes in all eras – from the pop sensibilities
of the early Beatles to the city-boy cool of modern day heroes Hard-Fi,
with a few surprising stops in between – Heyday have learnt fast the craft
of “the song”. A total knack for combining sharp, smart and deliciously
melodic hooks with an honest yet articulate lyrical slant sets these boys
apart form the pack. The tunes sound deceptively simple, but their hidden
depths reveal themselves over time – the maturity of the writing belying
the fact that all of the lads are still under 22 years of age.

Oh, and they’ve got the live show sorted too. An evening with Heyday is a
celebratory, atmospheric occasion during which band and audience truly
become one - with everyone sporting a massive spontaneous smile. It’s a fun
gig - remember those? (And yep – they already have a large, loyal and
tremendously vocal following). Mind you, their task is made easier by
unique front man Paul Walker – a cheekily charismatic ringleader who comes
on like Morrissey on high-grade Prozac crossed with Robbie Williams without
the boy-band baggage. This man knows how to work his crowd – and has the
voice to match the attitude.

Heyday also recently returned from a trip to London, where they recorded 2
tracks with renowned producer Dougal Drummond (L’il Chris/Towers Of London)
– and gained their major television debut with an in appearance on BBC’s
ATL TV in March. Do yourself a favour - listen to the tracks on
